Rider rolls

For consistency of the wound roll  quality during indexing, motor driven rider rolls are available. Before the indexing movement starts the correspondent roll is laid onto the winding roll. Then the rider roll indexes together with the wound roll in unloading position. The lay-on pressure is pneumatically actuated, where the weight of the roll is compensated by a counterweight in order to achieve a defined force on the surface of the wound roll.
