Hameln, City of the Pied Piper

The city of Hameln is not only well known for manufacturing of winding machines but of course by the famous story of the Pied Piper. The legend of the Pied Piper occurs in the year 1284 and is worldwide known in many countries.

Besides a historically grown old town Hameln offers today a wide range of touristic attractions. These are the beautiful landscape of the "Weserbergland" (Weser  hills), the river Weser and the castles in the surrounding area. Many different shops in the pedestrian area and in the new shopping center "Stadtgalerie" invites all visitors.
