Rider rolls

For consistency of the wound reel quality during indexing, motor driven rider rolls are available when the chucks are arranged within the side frames of the winder.

Before the indexing movement starts the correspondent roll is laid onto the winding reel. Then the rider roll indexes together with the wound reel in unloading position. The lay-on pressure is pneumatically actuated, where the weight of the roll is compensated by a counterweight in order to achieve a defined force on the surface of the wound reel.
