Service & Maintenance Contracts

Regular, professional maintenance is essential for ensuring the long-term availability and production quality of your equipment. With our service and maintenance contracts, we offer you predictable support tailored to your equipment.

Our service technicians have decades of experience with winding lines for paper, plastic films, nonwovens, and aluminium. We look after not only SOMATEC machines but also equipment from other manufacturers.

What a maintenance contract actually covers

Within the scope of a contract, we carry out maintenance work on your equipment at firmly agreed intervals. In doing so, we systematically inspect and document the condition of safety-relevant and quality-relevant components.

These include, among other things,
  • inspection and readjustment of web tension control systems,
  • checking winding shafts, chucks, and tension adapters for concentricity and wear,
  • checking and replacing cutting tools,
  • maintenance of drives, bearings, and pneumatic components, and
  • backing up and maintaining control software and controller parameters. After each visit, you receive a detailed maintenance report including a condition assessment and concrete recommendations for action.

Reachable worldwide

SOMATEC supports customers around the world. In addition to our headquarters in Hameln, we have a local presence through representatives in Italy, China, the USA, and Canada, as well as in India, the Middle East, and Central Asia. This ensures that our customers also have a direct point of contact internationally who can provide quick and straightforward help with service questions.

This setup is naturally complemented by the option of remote support and remote maintenance of your equipment.

Flexible contract design

We adapt the scope of your contract to your operational requirements. In addition to the regular maintenance visits, the contract can include guaranteed response times in the event of a fault, stocking critical spare parts for your specific equipment configuration, training for your operating and maintenance personnel, as well as software updates and optimisation of production recipes.
