Regional group Hameln of the VDI visited SOMATEC

The regional group Hameln of the VDI (Association of German Engineers) got latest information about the services and the machine program of SOMATEC

The approx. 20 members of the regional group of the VDI first where astonished, that the location of the meeting on February 20, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. was  the new assembly hall of SOMATEC finished in 2007. “We just want to be directly within the center of our activities” Günther Kuhlmann, General Manager of SOMATEC stated. After a welcome to visitors he illustrated the beginning of SOMATEC and the successful development over the last 12 years. With the following presentation Sales Manager Frank Jonas gave a more detailed overview about SOMATECs services and versatile machine program.

But the highlight of the evening was a demonstration of a turret rewinder of the type ATW, which was just finally adjusted and will be shipped soon to a Chinese customer. Here several roll changes with different winding speeds were shown “live” and so the previous explanations were impressively demonstrated in practice.

At least the leader of the regional group, Mr. Dieter Pausch, thanked SOMATEC for the informative and successful evening, where the whole team of SOMATEC was present. The evening was concluded with some snacks where again some technical issues were discussed.
