Web transport

The web will be transported within a winding machine or production line by pull rolls. For the web transport a constant speed and a defined tension are necessary within the web.

[textalign=justify]The speed of the web is given by a main drive or from the production machine (i.e. calender). From this drive a speed signal is given to each following drive (pull rolls, winder), so that the web is transported with the same speed by all these drives. The tension between the main drive or production machine and the following pull rolls can be influenced by tension control rolls or dancer rolls.
